Who doesn’t love new gear? As a new reviewer here at PCApex the thrill is long from gone, no matter how much new gear passes through my local Post Office outlet into my hot, grubby mitts. This particular package held a special interest, mainly due to the weight! Arriving in a package weighing 8lbs (a great sign for a PSU), I knew I’d have a tougher time than usual prying it from my buddy Drew’s grasp. Drew’s family owns the local Pack & Mail Plus, a shipping outlet that also provides P.O. boxes and package receiving for folks like me who live way out in the sticks. Drew is also a LAN buddy and skilled gamer (better than me, the Weazel), so no new gadget goes through there without some geek chatter andor smacktalk accompanying the transaction. Contrary to how that may sound… yeah, it’s great living in a small town. Here’s Drew firing a Rocketeer at me. Just you wait buddy…

Package

Once I had the package home I found that Spire packed this unit very nicely for retail sale with a nice mix of color, information and graphics; adding up to a classy presentation.

The inside was no different as everything was packed to stay put and come out undamaged and organized.

Included:

  • The PSU, naturally
  • Box of cables
  • Five colored Velcro bundling straps
  • Two black zip ties
  • Black power cord
  • Case mounting hardware
  • Installation Manual
