Introduction
Most of you know that OCZ acquired PC Power & Cooling back in May of this year (2007). I am not sure of the details of this little merger but I know great things can come of this. OCZ has had some good performing PSU units and some have even reached approval of die hard overclocking enthusiasts. I am not here to talk about OCZ’s past but the future of PCP&C. PCP&C is known for their incredibly stable power supply units. The founder of PCP&C (Doug Dodson) has strict beliefs on how a PSU should be built and stakes his reputation on it. A belief OCZ believes in as well, enough to have Dodson become the new CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of OCZ.
Even though Dodson is no longer the owner of PCP&C, he still is in charge of the production under the PCP&C name. This is a good thing because the more I tear into these units the more impressed I am with the designs, performance, and stability each one has. By no means am I an overclocking enthusiast that pushes my equipment far beyond the limits, but I do like to rely on a stable system to keep tweaking from time to time.
As the demands for power increase so do the recommended equipment and once again PCP&C is there for another certification. With the recent release of ATI’s power hungry 2900 XT, power draw is at an all time high for even one GPU unit. With a reported 215 watts per card that leaves you needing the recommended 550 watt PSU for a single card and a 750 watt PSU for Crossfire. With the Silencer 750 making the certification, PCP&C wanted to release a special unit just for the occasion. The Silencer 750 Quad Crossfire Edition (CF) sports a red paint job in celebration of ATI’s theme. Now lets see what's new with the Silencer 750 Quad-CF.

Everything seems to be the same since my last review of the Silencer 750, with the exception of the added connectors on the wire harness and the Crossfire certification. Now with that out of the way, let us take a closer look at what we have here.
