Since the Phenom will run on AM2 will you (or do you) use an AM2 setup?
I already am on AM2 and plan to stay.
I was already planning to move to AM2.
I am moving to AM2 because it will support the Phenom.
I am waiting till the Phenom is out for a while but will consider it.
I am an AMD Fanboy.
I am an Intel Fanboy.
I am not considering an AM2 setup at all.
I don't care as long as I can get my email.

Nexus NX-8050 PSU

Real-Time Pricing

Nexus was formed in 2000 by a group of experts on heat conductivity and noise reduction in computers. Their goal is to build quiet, high quality computer components. Getting items from Nexus brought back some memories for me. The very first item I reviewed back in 2002 when the Earth was flat and we were still PimpRig was a CPU cooler from Nexus. Now that the wheel has been invented and we go by the more politically correct name of PCApex we can move on to more technically advanced items.

The item up for review today is the Nexus NX-8050 80 Plus 500 watt modular power supply. The 80 Plus specification means that the power supply is at least 80% efficient with loads of 20%, 80% and 100%. In other words the output wattage is at least 80% of the input wattage. Not only does this save power but it also translates into less heat output from the power supply. As for noise this PSU is rated at just 17.6 dB at idle so this sucker should be pretty quiet.
