Since the Phenom will run on AM2 will you (or do you) use an AM2 setup?
I already am on AM2 and plan to stay.
I was already planning to move to AM2.
I am moving to AM2 because it will support the Phenom.
I am waiting till the Phenom is out for a while but will consider it.

Today I have the pleasure of presenting you a hybrid review of sorts on a new DragonModz product. This will be part work log and part review as the item DragonModz has sent me can only be done justice by an article as such. Throughout this article I will give my impressions of the product though all the stages of use.

Know for their products that bring the extra details to modding projects, DragonModz has now brought to the fold yet another great product. I give you Aluminum DragonMesh, an easier to form and shape version of the more common steel mesh that is on the market today. DragonMesh is available in four different patterns to choose from; Diamond, Hex, Oval, and Round. It is available in standardized 12"X12" squares as well as a few not so standard sizes.

Package

The package arrived at my door via USPS. It was carefully packaged, but still got slightly bent in transit. This was not a real problem however, as it only took a couple of swings from a rubber mallet to flatten out the sections I would soon cut out.

Inside was a 12"X12" sheet of their Hex DragonMesh, as well as two DragonMods.net sticker/business cards.

Info & Specs

Excerpts from DragonModz.net

"Dragonmodz is very proud to bring you what we feel is a product that no hardcore modder can do without! Compared to some other types of mesh out there, this mesh has some distinct advantages. For starters, we have four different patterns to choose from! The Round and Hex patterns will match well with many types of cases on the market, but when you have the urge to do something a bit different, the Oval and Diamond mesh patterns will set your rig apart from the crowd. What's more, our aluminum mesh is very easy to form, very light weight, matches many aluminum cases with no finishing required or can be painted, polishes to a great shine, conducts heat very well, and is naturally corrosion-resistant!"

Stats:
Hexagonal Hole Perforated Sheet
Aluminum Type: Alloy 3003
Opening Pattern: Staggered
Hex Size: 1/4"
Percentage of Open Area: 79%
Center-to-Center Spacing: .281"
Thickness: .032"
Gauge: 20

My first impression of the product was actually of a little concern. DragonModz states that "our aluminum mesh is very easy to form, very light weight" and my initial thoughts after handling it (in it's 12"X12" form) were that this stuff was not going to be substantial enough to take even a slight blow. This thought however was soon dismissed after I cut a few smaller pieces to start shaping for a mod I am currently working on.

DragonModz even carries different designs in this mesh. I will be working with the hex design but they also offer the mesh in diamond, oval and round designs as well.
