During our 6 years online we have had the opportunity to review a number of different coolants. The purpose of these coolants are to replace the use of the commonly used AntiFreeze/Distilled Water mixture. Why? The homebrew coolant mix of AntiFreeze and Distilled is cheap, easy to come by and is a top performer... but it also very good at carrying an electrical current; which is something that your PC components won't like if your cooling loop springs a leak. There are a number of non-conductive coolants on the market which aim to offer performance similar to a homebrew mix while also providing a little more peace of mind.
What I am reviewing today is a new offering from FluidXP named FluidXP+ Ultra. This new Ultra coolant is a revamped mixture which offers some new and interesting features. The main one being the addition of a special ingredient that FluidXP calls Z7. Z7, according to FluidXP, will allow you to mix different metal types in the same loop. This has always been a big no-no since using different metals in the same cooling loop normally results in highly accelerated corrosion of those metals. This new Ultra formula also promises improved thermal transfer capabilities. Because of our great relationship with FrozenCPU, the only retailer to carry FluidXP+ Ultra right now, we are the first to get to play with this new coolant. :)
First of all, the new Ultra formula is already available in a number of colors:
Here is what the FluidXP site has to say about their recently released Ultra coolant:
Fluid XP+ Ultra with z7
August 15, 2007. Riverside, CA - Integrity PC Systems and Technologies, Inc., manufacturer of the elite liquid cooling brand Fluid XP+, has released yet another amazing product. Fluid XP+ Ultra with z7 hits the shelves today to blow away any and all other non-Fluid XP+ coolants.
Ultra with z7 is an whole new coolant formulation designed by PC enthusiasts and gamers for PC enthusiasts and gamers. Ultra with z7 has many unique features that no other PC coolant offers. Not to mention everything is backed up by scientific data from independent labs.
The most notable thing that Fluid XP+ Ultra with z7 offers that no other PC coolant can or ever will offer is the special chemical bond it has with solid substances. If you're using a radiator and you notice that metal shaving have began flaking off of it and start floating around you system, if your using Fluid XP+ Ultra with z7 there will be no problem. Because Ultra with z7 will bond itself around the metal flakes which will suspend it in the liquid. This will stop build up in your system. No other PC coolant can or ever will offer such feature.
The features of Fluid XP+ Ultra with z7 include:
- The z7 additive.
- Breaks down liquid surface tension, which helps in preventing foaming in very high flow systems.
- Better ability to carry heat
- Made with ingredients that are bonded together by a special patent pending chemical and heat process, actually aid in causing any solids that may be found in a system either new or old to be suspended in the liquid itself and not able to attach itself to surfaces.

The promotional pieces always sounds great, don't they? That is why review sites like us are here. We put products through the paces for various reasons and one of them is to verify the claims of the manufacturer/retailer. So let's do that.
