Well folks, it seems the powers above decided that letting me do reviews would be a good idea (I knew spike'n their coffee would work), so here is my first review for PCApex. The review I am doing is on a midtower case by Kingwin, the SK-523-BKWBC. Based upon the picture on the shipping box this case looks to be sleek and stylish in design with just the right amount of flair for those not much into flash, like me. Kingwin offers this case in Black or Silver, and with or without the side window. I received the the black version with side panel window.

Package

I found the box on my porch as I went out for some coffee. As I looked the container over, it didn't’t seem to have fared too bad at the hands of the shipping company. When I opened up the box, I was slightly impressed by the fact that the case was padded with better that average packing foam. Aside from that the packing included the usual plastic bag around the case and the side window coated with peel off plastic film.

Once I liberated the case from its box I pulled the left panel off to see what goodies the manufacturer included along with the case itself. What I got was a useless... umm... user’s manual, six hard drive rails, two keys, and a bag full of parts including screws, stand off’s, four feet for the bottom of the case, one zip tie (yeah you heard me, ONE), one zip tie hold down, and a spare tire in case my case got a flat.

Actually the spare tire I’m talking about is a metal ferrite ring you thread the front panel wires through to cut down EMI interference.
