Intro

During the early planning stages of Project Jezebel, I was sorting through a list of cases that were large, capable of fitting a dual Athlon MP motherboard, and had many mod possibilities. One of the top cases that came to mind was indeed the Addtronics 7896A. I had personally never seen one of these, however I had previously owned the smaller version, the 6896A. During its stay with me I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was easy to get in and out of, it had many cooling features, and was of top quality construction. After dropping Jim Hanson over at CoolCases.com a line, he agreed to donate a 7896A for Project Jezebel. Today I'll be taking you through a tour of sorts and showing you some early plans for the mods.

Accessories

The 7896A comes along with some rather nice accessories. There's a nice little manual that explains all the features, shows an exploded view of the different cases offered by Addtronics, the specs for each, and of course a wire installation guide. Also included in the package is a detailed parts list for the 7896A. When I originally purchased my 6896A from Addtronics earlier this year, this sheet was not included. Next up, we have the Invoice. I must say this is one of the most detailed invoices I have come across. It lists all of the possible mods that can be done by CoolCases, and their pricing. The list is in a detailed order also, Modifications, Power Supply, Fans, Cables, and Accessories. Big props goes out to Cool Cases for this. Last up, we have the box of goodies dedicated to our type of tower. Included inside are the rear slot covers, the drive rails, plastic ass-on card holders, a baggy dedicated to P4 usage, and a bag full of goodies! The bag of goodies has extra motherboard standoffs, mounts, the keys to the security lock, and a plethora of extra screws. Now let's take a look at the actual case features.
