Merconnet has sent a sample of one of their FM transmitters, the Car MP3 FM Transmitter, so lets have at it. I'd venture a guess that 99% of the readers here at PC Apex have some form of MP3 player... but unless you have a new car or have upgraded your car/truck/Yugo's audio system, then chances are you have to rig some way for your tunes to be played. Before I got this device, I was using my vintage Sony Discman's cassette adapter. I was looking forward to not hearing the tape drive spin.

Package
The FM Transmitter package would be best described as sparse. The package contains the transmitter unit itself, audio cable and a remote. That's it.
Now I know that the majority of consumer electronics are manufactured overseas, and that fact does not bother me. What bothers me is when a item is sold to the English speaking consumer without proper spelling and/or grammar proofing. If I were in the marketing department for ANY firm selling products to a different country, I would make darn sure that the text on my packaging, marketing, and instruction materials were proof read by a fluent speaker of that language. Enough of the pet peeves, on to the product.
